Safeguard and safety policy


1.0 Introduction
This document outlines the Safeguard and Safety Policy for the Central Equatoria
Business Union (CEBU), a forum for businesses in South Sudan. The policy aims to
ensure the safety and well-being of all members, employees, contractors, and other
parties associated with the Union.

The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines for maintaining a safe and secure
environment within CEBU, preventing accidents and incidents, and responding
effectively when they occur.

are part of the Union or participate in its activities.

All activities and facilities associated with the Union should undergo regular risk

All individuals should follow the safety procedures established by the Union, including the use of personal protective equipment, adherence to safety signage, and

4.3 Emergency Preparedness
The Union should have an emergency preparedness plan in place, which includes
procedures for evacuation, first aid, and communication during emergencies.

4.4 Incident Reporting
All accidents, incidents, and near misses should be reported promptly to the Union’s
management, so that appropriate action can be taken to prevent recurrence.

5.1 The Union’s Management is responsible for implementing this policy, conducting

and secure environment.

measures, or comply with new legal requirements.

7.0 Breaches of Policy
Breaches of this policy may result in disciplinary action, including termination of
membership or employment, legal action, and/or reporting to law enforcement
authorities.
